While in Wyoming, we spent the weekends with Grandma and Grandpa Crossley and Great Grandma Crossley! On June 13th, Greybull had their Days of 47 Parade. To be honest, we don't really have any idea what it stands for! But we sure had a great time! Grandpa and Great Grandma Crossley headed to the parade with a few of the kids while Blake and I finished getting ready. We met up with them right before the parade started.
It's a political year so those in the parade were more than generous with the candy! There was so much candy that by the end of the parade they were picking and choosing which kinds they picked up! It was insane! I don't think we've ever been to a parade with our kiddos where this much candy was thrown. Part way through the parade, Abby's sack broke and she started putting it in her packets! I made her take it out and put it in the diaper bag when she started getting a candy booty! It was pretty hilarious!
Everything from otter pops to frizbees to Giant Ice Cream Sandwiches were also being handed out. When the first batches of candy were thrown, Ethan just waited for his siblings to bring him candy. Then he realized he could go get it to and that it was lots of fun! We had to reign him in a few times so he didn't get to close to the floats. He thought it was the greatest thing having people throw candy to him! I can only imagine the things going through his mind!
They all loved seeing the beautiful horses come through! Especially Ethan! He's really into horses right now. After the parade we headed back to Basin with candy in tow! It sure was a fun way to start out our Saturday!
